The Scorpions train and participate in soccer games for approximately 46 weeks every year. This includes Fall and Spring league schedules in the Northern Illinois Soccer League, three indoor winter sessions at PlayUSA, three intense skills camps, and several tournaments throughout the Midwest.
The primary goal is to teach the players the Brazilian style of soccer. “O Jogo Bonito” translates to “the beautiful game”. As a result of these teachings, Team Chicago players develop superior ball handling skills and confidence with translates into individual and team success.
Playing a year up in their initial NISL season in 2005, the TC Scorpions (then known as TC 97/98) posted a respectable 4-16 records against physically stronger teams in the U8 South Red Division.
In 2006, the TC Scorpions used their skills and experience to post a record of 7 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw against players their own age in the U8 South Gold division for the Spring session.
In addition to their 2006 NISL success, the Scorpions competed in three tournaments posting a 8-2 record in three tournaments that included two championship game appearances and just missing a third due to a goal differential tie-breaker.
